Darren’s road bike

Project Description

There is a lot going with Darren’s road bike, but with that comes a simplicity that keeps all the details under wraps so that the elegant lines shine through and none of the unwanted fuss of cables etc. All cabling for the gears and rear brake line are internal and the latest Deda Superleggera bars have great internal routing from the shifters.

Darren didn’t want anything want anything with super race geometry as most of his riding is Social/Sportive, but he didn’t want a tourer either. His current ride was Specialized Roubaix so this layed the groundwork for our direction in terms of geometry, with our signature lower bottom bracket height this gives Darren a planted and sure-footed ride, we opted for a Columbus HSS downtube as it would give us the stiffness that we required and used a 27.2 seatpost to give us the comfort that we wanted to add in. First ride reports are in and it hasn’t disappointed!

Design and Paint wise the bike screams look at me but retains a classy and elegant aesthetic. Working perfectly with the Chris King Turquise finishing kit and bespoke hand made wheels from Parcours. A true bespoke build with their rims laced to the Chris King R54 hubs.
