Camo Race Bike

Project Description

This is our blueprint for an out and out race bike, super stiff but retaining that wonderful ‘zing’ that only steel can provide. We went with a 31.6 seat post to keep everything as rock solid as we could towards the bottom bracket area, it gave us plenty to braze around. But with this stiffness there is always a compromise and that would be comfo

To alleviate this issue we used Deda seat stays with a little extra curve to give the compliance that we wanted, the chain stays are also Deda and have been placed as wide as possible in order to give the stiffest possible options for kicking out of a tight corner, crit hairpin bend or hammering it for the sprint!

Keeping things tight we made life difficult for ourselves and made sure the rear wheel was nice and snug giving us a short chainstay length which a sharp and snappy response. A big 44 headtube and tapered Columbus Fel fork make sure the front is sure-footed along the twistiest of roads.

The paint is a beauty to behold, it looks black but in the light you see will a rich, very dark blue with a stunning sparkle. And then, the forks – orange to pink fade and a bespoke urban camo.
