One distinctive feature on the design of this road frame it that it has a lower bottom bracket than most road bikes (the drop from the centreline of the wheels to the centre of the bottom bracket is 75mm rather than 70mm), which lowers the rider’s centre of gravity and promises to improve the handling of the bike. Steering precision starts with the front of the bike. Improved rigidity here gives less wheel deflection and more control. A tapered headtube allowed up to fit an 1 ½” to 1 1⁄8″ Deda forks. By itself, the tapered headtube offers a very clean design but a tapered steerer fork serves up a significant increase in stability.
